Case Study
Kingston Lane Enterprise Buyers and Sellers
A consolidation of list views for enterprise level software

Overview
Buyers and Sellers List:
A clean, organized list where agents can view and manage all their active and potential buyer and seller leads in one place, complete with contact details and lead status.
Listings and Buyers Page (Admin-Only):
An internal, admin-only dashboard that gives a high-level view of all property listings and interested buyers, making it easy to track activity, match leads, and oversee agent performance.

The Problem
While working on the Enterprise Version of Kingston Lane a consolidation of two product features was needed. The Buyers and Sellers List and the Listings and Buyers (and admin-viewable only page) pages needed to be combined to minimize confusion. Having two pages with overlapping content and disorganized permissions led to confusion internally, and because we were going to be offering this information to Enterprise-level admins we needed to organize and consolidate the information shown.
Audit Table Contents
I reviewed the current versions of the two different pages with leadership and development and determined what information needed to be removed, consolidated and added. The original pages had a lot of overlap which caused a lot of confusion. The Listings and Buyers directory was originally an admin-only viewable page, but this would become information viewable by users of our Enterprise level software and was no longer acceptable. Note the large amount of redundant and unnecessary information below.

Key

Create Permissions Grid
Created custom illustrations and diagrams to demonstrate the breadth of the software and the many features offered. To add further complexity, we needed to add a switch to the Enterprise level versions of the software to allow users to toggle data to view all members and listings of Kingston Lane, or to view members and listings only within their company

Build Wireframes of Combined Tables and User Test
After multiple iterations we came up with the appropriate combined table contents for each of the user access levels: Free/Pro users, Enterprise agents (switch off), Enterprise agents (switch on), Enterprise Admins (switch off), Enterprise Admins (switch on), and Enterprise Superadmins. We user tested each user access level of the pages to ensure the proper information was being hidden or shown, and made adjustments as needed.

Results
Consolidating the Buyers and Sellers Lists into a single, streamlined interface improved lead management efficiency, reduced time spent searching for client information, and helped agents prioritize follow-ups faster.
